Take Your Child to the Library Day: Bookboard donates $30K

by BB

In celebration of the third annual Take Your Child to the Library Day, Bookboard is partnering with over 400 libraries throughout the United States and Canada to encourage families to visit their local libraries. All participating libraries are hosting special events that include story times, musical performances, scavenger hunts, art activities and giveaways to celebrate reading and create more awareness about literacy and what local libraries have to offer children and families. This year’s festivities will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014.

Since Bookboard is a digital library, the start-up company is celebrating in its own unique way by supporting participating brick-and-mortar libraries with social media and donating over $30,000 in goods and services. “Because books are so important in helping children develop a life-long love of learning,” said Fang Chang, Bookboard Co-Founder, “we want all children and families heading to libraries, both brick-and-mortar, and digital alike.” To learn more about Bookboard and sign up for your free trial of the award-wining service, visit
